  • Stop using retinol, AHAs/BHAs, or exfoliants near the brows.

  • No brow waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion or chemical peels

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or any activities that can irritate or dry out your skin.

🧼 2–3 Days Before:

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners (Aspirin, Niacin, Advil/Ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin, Excedrin, Warfarin, Coumadin, fish oil, Vitamin E or Primrose Oil). You may take Tylenol.

  • Hydrate! Drink plenty of water and keep the skin moisturized (but don’t apply any lotions on the day of your appointment).

🚫 The Day Before:

  • Do not wax, tweeze, thread, or tint your brows.

  • Do not workout.

  • No alcohol or caffeine

  • Avoid saunas or steam rooms.

✅ Day of Appointment:

  • Arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the brow area.

  • Eat a light meal beforehand to help keep you comfortable during the session.

  • Be prepared to relax — the process takes time, but it’s worth it!

PMU Brows Aftercare

Proper aftercare accounts for 50% of your final healed result! Follow these steps for the next 10–14 days:

🚫 First 24 Hours (Day of Procedure):

  • Blot brows gently with a clean tissue to absorb any lymph fluid.

  • Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the area.

💧 Days 1-7:

  • Clean brows morning and night with a damp cotton pad and gentle cleanser (only if recommended).

  • Apply the provided healing ointment in a very thin layer if advised.

  • Avoid water exposure on the brow area — use caution when showering.

  • No makeup, creams, or skincare near the brows.

❌ Days 7-14:

  • Brows may scab, flake, or appear patchy — this is completely normal.

  • Continue to avoid excessive sweating, saunas, or steam rooms.

  • Protect your brows from sun exposure.

⚠️ Healing Timeline (What to Expect):

  • Healing takes 4–6 weeks. Touch-up appointments are scheduled 8-14 weeks after the initial session.

  • Do not pick at scabs or flakes — this can result in pigment loss.

  • Use a gentle SPF on your brows once healed to protect color.

💉 Touch-Up Appointment:
   •    A second session is recommended within 4 months after your first visit to refine shape, color, and retention.
   •    Book your perfecting session during your initial healing window to ensure best results.

Lip Blush Prep & Pre-Care

Smooth, hydrated lips are essential for flawless pigment saturation and even healing:

🔄 7 Days Before Your Appointment:

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drink plenty of water daily — hydrated lips respond best to pigment.

  • Start gentle lip exfoliation 2–3x this week using a lip scrub (sugar + honey or store-bought) to slough off dry skin.

  • Apply a hydrating lip balm daily (look for ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, or lanolin).

  • Avoid long sun exposure or tanning on the face/lips.

  • No lip injections (filler or Botox) within 4 weeks before or after your appointment.

  • No chemical peels, microneedling, or laser facials around the mouth area within 2 weeks of your appointment.

🧼 2–3 Days Before:

  • Exfoliate lips once per day (use a soft toothbrush, washcloth, or scrub).

  • Apply Healing Balm multiple times daily to ensure lips are smooth and soft.

  • Avoid alcohol and salty foods — these can dry the lips out.

💊 Cold Sore Prevention (IMPORTANT):

  • If you have ever had a cold sore (even once), you MUST take antiviral medication for 3 days before and 4 days after your appointment.

  • Lip Blush can trigger a flare-up even if it’s been dormant — and this will affect your results.

  • Ask your doctor for a prescription or over-the-counter option.

🚫 The Day Before:

  • Avoid spicy foods, excessive caffeine, or alcohol.

  • Don’t use any harsh lip plumpers or stimulating products.

  • Make sure your lips are moisturized overnight — sleep with Aquaphor or a thick lip balm on.

✅ Day of Appointment:

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips.

  • Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water before you arrive.

  • Don’t take aspirin, ibuprofen, or any blood thinners unless prescribed.

  • Relax — we’ll go over shape, color, and all aftercare at your appointment

Lip Blush AfterCare

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure optimal healing, retention, and beautiful long-term results.

An Aftercare Kit will be provided for you after your service to take care of your lips

🚫 First 24 Hours (Day of Procedure):

  • Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in color.

  • For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on lips with a clean tissue, to remove any lymph. After 4 hours, start applying ointment (Healing Balm) as needed to keep lips constantly moist. No kissing, rubbing or friction on the treatment area.

  •  Blot lips gently with a clean tissue or cotton pad every 30–60 minutes to absorb lymph fluid and prevent scabbing.

  •  Avoid touching your lips unnecessarily and keep them clean and dry.

  • No kissing, spicy foods, or contact with dirty surfaces (including fingers or phones!).

💧 Days 2–10:

  • Apply a thin layer of PMU-approved healing balm 2–4x a day using clean hands or a cotton swab.

  • Lips will flake/peel — do NOT pick, scratch, or rub!

  • Keep lips moisturized, but not over-saturated or wet.

  • Drink through a straw to minimize moisture on lips.

  • Avoid: spicy foods, citrus, alcohol, very salty foods, or hot beverages.

  • Gently cleanse around the mouth area; avoid getting water directly on the lips for long periods (no submerging or steamy showers).

❌ Avoid for 10 Days:

  • No lip makeup, gloss, or tinted balms.

  • No kissing or oral activity.

  • No saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, swimming, or heavy sweating.

  • No exfoliating or using harsh products around the lips.

  • No sun exposure or tanning.

⚠️ Healing Timeline (What to Expect):

  • Days 3–5: Peeling begins. Color looks patchy or faded.
