If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Emma.

How do I apply for my Tattoo Artist License?

Do I need to be an Esthetician?

The best part about becoming a Permanent Makeup Artist (in Florida), is that you do not need to be an Esthetician or Cosmetologist to perform perform permanent makeup. But, you do have to obtain your Tattoo License and follow state regulations and guidelines.

Do I need to be Artistic?

Having an artistic flair will help but it’s definitely not essential! What’s most important is having the willingness to learn. We will teach you how to create custom brow designs using special tools. You’ll become a natural with practice!

Will I be ready to accept clients after class?

After completing our courses here at Blush & Blade, you will be close to accepting your first clients! But, keep in mind that there are a few things that need to be completed before you are able to get to work! The Florida Health Department requires ALL tattooing be regulated by the state and therefore, a Tattoo Establishment License and Biomedical Waste Permit is also required if you decide to open your own location. If you already work in an establishment, like a spa, salon or tattoo studio, you will not need to worry about those licenses - UNLESS, your current establishment does not have these licenses in place. Be sure to communicate with your workplace to make sure these licenses and permits are in place so that you will be able and ready to accept clients right away.

I want to open my own business, can you help me?

ALL Training Courses include a Mini Business and Social Media Course that will give you the resources and tools to be ready to open your own Permanent Makeup business. Emma will also provide a Business Ready Checklist to get ready for your inspection. Once you have obtained ALL supplies and applied for your licenses and permits, the Health Department will complete an inspection. Once you have passed your inspection, the Health Department will grant you your Tattoo Establishment License!

Is the course investment worth it?

Usually, Permanent Makeup Courses are about 2 days long, a day of theory and then a day for one model. each training course is different, but all have 3 things in common:

1. Each training teaches techniques that are exclusive and expansive. Each course allows you to learn multiple techniques to accommodate EVERY client that walks through your doors

2. You will have 2 full weeks to complete the course

3. You will receive LIFETIME support and continued Mentorship while you build your business

Our training kits are exclusive to our brand with a $800 value and will give you the opportunity to complete 10 clients.

Please keep in mind that this is an investment in YOURSELF! By completing this training, and using the kit alone, you can make your money back! Don't just see the amount of money that you are going to spend, but the VALUE this training will bring to you and your clients!

What makes your Training Course different from others?

Our training courses are detailed and intensive. After completing a training course, you will be ready to start preparing for clients. We never exceed 3 students to ensure adequate individual attention and discussion. After the theory portion of training, you will have a week to practice at home on practice skins. This allows you to have enough practice time and receive personal feedback on how you can improve your practice to get you ready for your model. Models are completed one-on-one and are scheduled when an individual student knows they're ready for their model and their instructor has approved of their practice skins.

Models are one-on-one so Emma is able to give her undivided attention. A lot of training courses will have multiple models in one room with one instructor going back and forth between students. I mean, let's think about this. It's your first time tattooing someone's face and your instructor is with another student, your nerves got to you and now you totally forgot what to do next. This is why Emma ONLY offers models one-on-one so that each student is prepared for when they are out in the real world without her by their side!

Every training is exclusive to Blush & Blade. You will not find this training anywhere else. Emma has poured her heart and soul into this training because of the past experiences she has had. She wants nothing more than to see you become successful as a PMU Artist and will be there every step of the way!

do you offer payment plans?

Currently, we do not offer payment plans. There is an $800 *non-refundable deposit that is required to secure your spot for class. This non-refundable deposit goes towards the total amount of your training. On the first day of class, the remaining amount will be due.

How much can I earn as a PMU Artist?

Let’s look at how much Emma offers Permanent Makeup Treatments:

Microblading (the most popular brow treatment) - $600.

Total time of Appointment: 2 1/2 hours

It would be wrong of us to say you’ll be performing these treatments at this price right away, but if you perform only 4 of these treatments a week at $300 – that’s over $1,000 per week. In fact, permanent makeup artists can earn more than doctors, lawyers and even your local MP. Don’t expect to earn this from the outset. You’ll need to reduce your price to build up your client base first, but once word of mouth and marketing takes effect, you can then expect to increase your prices and number of treatments you perform.
